Sorry about the radio silence from me for almost a MONTH… The reason is that I’ve been working overtime to change the Group Order Catalogue into a web shop!

There were SO MANY things to learn in the beginning, but after a lot of research plus trial and error, I’ve now transformed our static Catalogue into a working web shop! HURRAY!!!!!!!! :’DDDD

So far, I’ve moved these series over to the new web shop:

• Cardcaptor Sakura
• Fate series
• Haikyuu
• Idolish7
• Kuroko no Basket
• Love Live! Sunshine!!
• Persona 5

Any new merch that came into stock since our January Group Order, I’ve added directly to the new shop.

I’ll be adding Touken Ranbu before the mid April Group Order (as it has new items out), but will leave Daiya no Ace, Yuri on Ice and Love Live for later. Those 3 series don’t have anything new, so if anyone wish to  pick up something, choosing from the old Catalogue page will do.

Let’s Test Out the New Shop!!

To make sure the new shop is working properly before the REAL Group Order rolls around later this month, I’m opening it up for testing!

Between now and Monday 8 April 2019, you’re welcome to browse the new shop and submit test orders.

Try the checkout page, see if you receive the auto confirmation email etc.

Orders placed during this testing period will be deleted on Tuesday 9 April.

If you like the new shop or spot any problem (e.g. wrong tags etc), please let me know! 😀

Enough chit chat, so what improved features does the web shop format offer????

Improved Navigation

Other than the top menu, there is now a menu in the sidebar also. This one offers additional category breakdown by product type.

After the full web shop build is completed, there will be more categories such as printed goods, Buy Now items etc.

Product Search

In the past, you can only scroll up and down long pages to see what’s available. Now if you want to find goods featuring a particular character or brand, you can use the search box in the side bar! 😀

For all series EXCEPT Fate, I’ve input the common tags. For example, if you want to find Oikawa goods, inputting keywords like “Oikawa”, “Tooru”, “seijoh”, “aoba jousai” will work.

I didn’t do it for Fate because… I don’t know the characters!! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Rather than inputting wrong info, better to just leave it out. However, you can still search by different Fate series such like “fate extella”, “fate stay night” etc.

Within the individual product pages, you can also click into the tags to view more from that category.

Product Availability

Now that everything is neatly organised into a shop format, I’ll no longer crudely cross a character out when they are unavailable! (งツ)ว

To see which characters from a set is in stock, just click the drop down menu.

If a design is sold out, it will disappear from the drop down menu.

Some low stock items are only sold as pairs. In this case, they will be listed as a COMBO option.

If a set contains options with different prices, you will need to click on an option in the drop down menu to see its price.

If an item is low stock, that will also show at this stage (e.g. “3 left in stock”).

Product Alerts

If I’m aware of any issue regarding a set, I’ll list them under “Things to Note”. This will cover things like missing cheek blush etc.

Clear Order Summary in the Basket

Now that we have a shop, y’all can leisurely browse and add things to basket!

No more writing down item numbers!!

No more checking and checking if you wrote the right numbers!!!

What’s even better, even in the basket you can SEE the sets you chose & the character you chose! b(*´▽`*)d

Shipping Options

In the basket, you can choose whether you want standard or tracked shipping. However, no shipping COST will be added at this stage.

After experimenting with different builds, I think it’d be too easy for customers to pick the wrong shipping option. (e.g. 3 acrylic stands =/= under 8 items)

To avoid potential mistakes, it’d be easier if I confirm your shipping cost afterwards.

PS. The shipping page also had a spanking new makeover! :’) Lesser good news is the 2019 UK postage price rise started in April, so I had to bump up the parcel rates. Basic 8 items rate stays the same tho.

Next step, back to Paypal invoices

I made the DELIBERATE choice to NOT take payment via the web shop. Because there is a chance that something might have sold out, and I’d prefer to check first before taking payment.

Therefore when you submit your order via the web shop, you will get an auto email confirming your picks, but no payment will be required.

After I’ve checked everything you want is available, things will follow the usual HachiSales Group Order routine.

• I’ll email you to confirm the total cost (with shipping + paypal fees added)
• I’ll send a paypal invoice to you
• After you’ve paid, the order is confirmed and I’ll get the items you want

Customer Account

You will each have your own individual customer page, where you can see all your orders and amend personal details etc. 🙂
