Have Your Say: Should HachiSales adopt a web shop format?

Those of you who participated in our recent Group Orders must have noticed: the Catalogue sections are getting REALLY long.

Each series now has at least a dozen sets of products, which means there is a lot of scrolling up and down to do when browsing. D:

To combat these issues, I’ve been toying with the idea of turning the Group Order Catalogue and Buy Now section into a web shop format.

Good Stuffs

• Sets can be displayed as thumbnails, so you can find the sets you want without tons of scrolling.
• Tags will allow search by character.
• No more emailing & referencing item numbers. You pick the character you want, add to cart, and submit the order.
• (But I’ll continue to request payment via paypal invoice afterwards, in case anything has gone out of stock or we need to weight the package etc.)

Less Good Stuffs

• Web shop = you will need to register & create a user account.
• If a character is out of stock, you won’t know until you click on the set’s dropdown menu. (eg. #5 Todoroki is unavailable in the screencap)

Switching to a web shop format will require a lot of admin work on my behalf, therefore I want to find out what YOU think before I start anything.

Will a web shop format make ordering easier for you?

Mind you, the web shop format will only change the browsing experience and ordering method. (i.e. less scrolling, using a cart instead of email)

After I receive the auto email with your order, what follows will be the same as usual. I’ll double check if all the items you want are in stock, contact you to confirm the total cost (items + shipping + fees), and then issue a paypal invoice. When your package is ready to be shipped, I’ll be in touch to notify you.

I COULD automate all that, but hey, I’m just a cheap mom and pop store operating on a 2 cent budget. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
