To Track or Not to Track: Observations on UK Airmail

Having done several batches of Group Order mailings, I want to share my observations with you~

Tracked Airmail =/= Faster

• Although Tracked Airmail supposedly receives priority handling, from my experience, they rarely arrive quicker than standard airmail, especially when heading for the US. Often when some standard airmail items have already been delivered, the tracked items are still waiting in a UK airport!
• The only exception is packages destined for Brazil and Mexico. Tracked packages arrive and pass customs significantly faster.
• Even though UK Tracked Airmail costs a lot more than standard, it is not EMS style service. To get that speed from UK, you need parcelforce…  which is even MORE expensive aye.

Tracked Airmail = Peace of Mind

• tbh most European postal services are alright and our distances are relatively short so I feel OK using Standard Airmail. (lol Dublin tho :’))
• Most US/Canada addresses are also fine. Although it does take longer to reach you so you gotta bear a few more anxious days!
• Nevertheless, if your address is remote/tricky to find or you bought a lot, then Tracked Airmail is definitely recommended. It’s better to KNOW your package is sitting in the post depot for 2 weeks for no good reason, rather than fretting about where it has disappeared to!!

One last note – when I post your order using Standard Airmail, I don’t just slap a stamp on it and drop it into a post box. I do obtain proof of address etc so there is a paper trail. :’D

Re: May/June Orders

• UK/Europe – Everyone except 1 already got in touch to say the package arrived. Yay!
• UK/Canada/Mexico – none of the tracked packages have been delivered yet lol. A few standard posts got yours already, but the majority are still waiting. Hopefully more deliveries by the end of this week!!!
