About this Group Order

Wow. It has been half a year since I last prepped a Group Order post!!

On a few occasions during lockdown, I didn’t think HachiSales will be back in operation ever again. Maybe the world changed too much in recent months… Maybe people don’t collect goods anymore…

But some of you guys told me otherwise, so here we are! Back at it again! (งツ)ว Raise a glass to our first Group Order of 2020!!!!

Provisional Timeline

I’m keeping the estimated dates looser this time, because due to coronavirus restrictions, things will likely be slower.

  • 22 July – Group Order opens.
  • 2 August – Group Order closes. Finish ordering goods.
  • ~w/c 10 August – Goods to be delivered to my friend in Asia.
  • ~w/c 17 August – Goods to be mailed to me by EMS.
  • End of August/early September – Shipping the goods to you from UK.

I want to mail goods to you by end of August, but I’ll say early September JUST IN CASE!

Shop Changes & Updates

The shop now has a new filter function in the sidebar to help you sort through the tons of new goods added during lockdown! 😀

The main series you guys collect, I have moved all of them onto the new system. Haven’t gotten around to doing the following though:

Their newest sets are listed in the filter system, but their older goods are not. However, you can still access each series’ full listings via the PRODUCT CATALOGUE in the bottom half of the sidebar. Some of their older stuffs might have gone out of stock (oops), but if any problem, I’ll let you know after I’ve reviewed your order.

Progress Updates

As all packages are now shipped, this Group Order is considered completed. 🙂

Thank you to all who took part in this Group Order! Whether you are a new or old customer, your support helps cover the bills around here. I already paid all the annual expenses at the start of 2020, therefore it’s good we finally COULD do ONE Group Order to take care of those costs oof.

There were many awesome items in this haul, so I hope all of you will be very pleased when you receive your package!

2020.09.22 – All remaining packages posted!
  • All remaining US packages were posted today! That means EVERYONE should have received a shipping notification email by now. If you didn’t get one, please let me know!
  • I’ll be sending out today’s tracking numbers later.
  • Reason for the delay is that the Royal Mail tracking page was down for maintenance earlier & still not working properly even though it’s back online now. :/ I want to double check the tracking numbers before emailing you guys!
  • Just sent out the tracking numbers! Also, the Royal Mail tracking page is working normally again. 🙂
2020.09.21 – First half of packages posted!
  • As planned, today I have mailed out ALL packages to UK, Europe, Non US Worldwide, plus a dozen US tracked packages. If your package was posted, you should have received an email notification.
  • If you chose tracking, you should have received a second email with the tracking number.
  • Tomorrow, I’ll post the remaining packages – all to America!

  • Tomorrow (Monday) I’ll be mailing half the packages first. These will include UK, Europe, Non US Worldwide, some US tracked packages.
  • Then on Tuesday, I intend to mail all remaining US packages. (Lots of you are from the US! :’D)

  • I have overestimated how much I could get done this week! >_<;
  • Early next week is now a more realistic date for mailing out packages. This will include all Group Order participants & everyone who ordered leftover goods this week.
  • Your order have been packed & labelled, but still gotta weight them, seal them, write custom forms, and prep post office paperwork. Plus I need to drive to a specific post office branch where the staff ~knows how to deal with my horde of packages efficiently! :’D
  • Sorry to make you guys wait a little longer, but… better to do every step properly than rushing!! D:

  • A temporary category has been added to help you distinguish the new stuff from the rest of the Buy Now Items – “July Group Order Spares”.
  • If you would like to add anything to your existing order, please submit a new order with these Buy Now Items & put “combine orders” in the comment box. I’ll then invoice you and add these extra items to your package.
  • If I don’t hear from you this week, I’ll assume you don’t wish to add anything. Your order will be shipped as it is.

  • I’ll be packing your orders over the next few days. (if your shipping address has changed, please let me know asap)
  • If you have outstanding issues (eg. not yet invoiced for shipping, need to replace out of stock item), I’ll be in touch in the coming days.
  • Once that’s done, we can see what spare goods are available & you’ll be welcome to add things to your existing order if you wish. Whatever’s left will be offered to the general public as Buy Now Items.

  • We are all eager to see something new on the tracking page, but alas! Nothing!
  • EMS packages are delivered by parcelforce in the UK. Looking at their Services Updates > International > Rest of the World:
  • Last service update (25 Aug) regarding packages from Hong Kong are listed as “Additional Delays to Service”.
  • Last service update from the Hong Kong side though is on 4 Sep, and says EMS to UK is operating as normal.
  • We can only sit tight and WAIT until the parcel comes, but… it is hard to adapt to how things are right now huh? Packages usually get here so fast. London and Hong Kong WERE some of the biggest transport hubs in the world pre covid. 🙁

  • Some cheerful news at last! My friend posted the goods today! Will share a screenshot of the tracking when it gets moving. Right now it’s just sitting in the post office.
  • Going by the usual timescale, I could get it by this Saturday. But we are living in the covid world now, so who knows if EMS to UK would still be 3 days only?
  • PS. Product filter in the shop has been fixed! It looks different (no tick boxes) but works the same way. 🙂

  • The good news we’ve been waiting for! Those last few items got dispatched today!
  • My friend should get them in the next few days, then next week everything can definitely get EMS to UK together!

  • Ok, I have decided. All the goods which are already at my friend’s, I’ll EMS them this coming week (w/c 24 August). Don’t want to make you guys wait any longer!!
  • I did contact the supplier regarding those late items. They claim they can’t dispatch yet due to courier problem, which sounds like bullshit, because everyone else is business as usual aka no logistics problem across the country at all.
  • The late goods only affect a few items. When the 99% of goods reach me, I’ll sort everyone’s orders and then be in touch with the affected participants.
  • It’s a limbo situation at the moment – they don’t say things are out of stock, just not able to dispatch yet. ANNOYING.
2020.08.18
  • No major development since my last update. Just popping in to let you guys know I haven’t disappeared! Still waiting for those last few items to dispatch!
  • Kinda torn about whether to ship everything else over here first. Normally I WOULD, but right now there is only EMS between Hong Kong and UK, no ordinary airmail. And as you frequent Japan shoppers know, it would be dumb and expensive to ship a few stragglers weighing something like 500g by EMS. :/
  • Will make a decision end of this week about whether to split shipping!
  • On a brighter note, because this wait is getting long, I went browsing for fandom stuffs and found some reaaaaaaally cute designs!!!! (Summer is con season yo~ Weird to think not everyone was under lockdown recently huh) Time for a giveaway again?? (*u*)

  • The goods have been picked up by my friend today. They are now at his house and ready to be packed & prepped for coming to the UK.
  • The last 5% of goods still haven’t been dispatched. :/ Nudged the slow supplier and they said they will dispatch soon, but no action yet. If they still don’t dispatch next week, I might EMS everything else first to avoid holding things up for the majority of you.
2020.08.11
  • 95% of the goods have been delivered, and my friend will be picking them up later this week.
  • The remaining 5% is yet to be dispatched by the slow supplier. I honestly hate dealing with them because they are inefficient and their attitude stinks, but they carry older or lesser common goods no one else has (e.g. ichu). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Will keep an eye on them!

  • If you missed the Group Order, there is still a chance to get some things!
  • I picked up a selection of extra goods (mostly HQ, KNY, BSD) and will add them to the Buy Now section when they get here. Come back at the end of August/early Sep to see if anything suits your fancy! 😉
2020.08.06 – Finished ordering your goods
  • The website layout went whacked after I updated it last night before bed. O__O; Fixed now! Hope it didn’t alarm you guys!!!
  • I’ve now finished reserving ALL GOODS. 🙂 There was a last minute trouble with 2 BNHA nitotans being sold out, but I have contacted the affected participants directly.
  • Next, we shall wait for dispatch. Most goods will reach my friend by middle of next week, but there’s a supplier who ALWAYS dispatches late, so I probably will have to chase them. :/
  • Will update again after my friend has picked up all the goods!
2020.08.05
  • Between Monday and today (Wed), I have been busy reserving your goods during my spare time! (Around 300 items in this Group Order)
  • Now it’s my turn to pick some spare items to throw in Buy Now later~ I don’t like holding too many spares, but as things are so uncertain this year, it’s probably best to have a bit of extra inventory eh?
  • Oh, and some last minute requests/late comers have appeared. Hopefully they will reply/confirm soon. *eyes emoji*
  • Once these issues are settled (tomorrow?), the goods order can be prepped for dispatch. 🙂

  • Finished dealing with requests! And you guys have picked your choices, so I can proceed to do ordering now! Yay!

2020.08.02 Midnight – Group Order closed
  • The Group Order is now CLOSED! Was hesitant to hold a G.O. during a pandemic, but we managed to hit the usual Group size, therefore many thanks to everyone who joined this time!
  • I’ll begin ordering your goods from tomorrow/Monday. 🙂
  • btw the low stock items I ordered around 25/26 July have already been delivered. My friend will pick those up soon. Good to know logistics is ok!

  • People I’ve emailed to confirm total cost – please reply to say you’re ok with the total, then I’ll invoice you. If I don’t hear from you by Sunday 2 Aug, your order will be cancelled.

  • If I’ve confirmed your order, I’ll send you a paypal invoice in a few days. Reason is there are some new goods out this week, should you choose to add more things to your order, I’d rather wait and invoice everything in one go. Splitting 2 invoices = twice the paypal base rate fees :/
