Tracking and tracing deliveries to calm pre-parcel anxiety

Over the last 2 weeks, you guys have been steadily messaging me to say your orders have arrived! Hurray! 8D

In fact, when I checked all the tracking numbers at the start of October (well, I can’t check the standard airmail ones ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), all of them were already delivered!! *gasps*

Considering the recent batch of packages were mailed out on 21st & 22nd September, it’s impressive that so many have arrived before October! I was fully expecting it to take 2-3 weeks due to covid delays, but it appears service is ok?!

If you kindly sent me a pic of your haul – THANK YOU! 😀 It has been added to the Custom Gallery with credit.

“Do I HAVE to tell you I got my package tho?”

Compare to a few years ago when everything was done via tumblr, Group Orders are now larger and have a good chunk of new participants every time.

Taking orders via a proper online shop instead of direct messaging back and forth is a big improvement in terms of convenience and efficiency, but can feel a bit faceless eh?

Most of you from the old days still say hi or stop for a chat when placing your orders <3, but there is a lot less communication with new people. (To be fair, some have absolutely NO interest in chitchatting… which is fine lol).

As a result of these changes, the “tradition” of announcing “I got my package!” is be fading… which is also fine!

I mean, you have no obligation to stay in touch or tell me anything once your order is completed.

However, if you do notify me when you get your package, the information is useful for other Group Order participants using standard airmail! :O

Calming Standard Airmail Anxiety

Most of you use standard airmail for your order. It’s about the same speed as tracked, much cheaper, but its journey from me to you in through a blind tunnel.

No one knows what’s up once it’s posted!!!

Can only wait restlessly until it magically turns up in your mailbox one day!!

That is why if you announce “I got my package!”, it helps me judge whether packages are travelling at appropriate speed. 🙂

Regarding the 21/22 September mailings:

  • Local UK peeps got their packages the next day (or the day after)
  • By the end of September, most US and western European participants received their parcels. This is normal, because those hubs tend to get mail from the UK faster.
  • Then in early October, Canada, Australia, Scandinavia, central Europe started getting their parcels. Again, this is normal pattern. Parcels are reaching the outer rims!
  • South America is still waiting, and I expect they will have to wait some more. But that is normal as well.

You guys are spread around the world! Some from major cities, other from small towns.

Travel speed inevitably varies, but your self-reporting helps those who are still waiting to asses if something is out of the ordinary.

Right now, parcels are still arriving daily. If you’re waiting for yours, hope it won’t be much longer!

If you already got your package but didn’t say anything before, why not send me a message! 😉
